Description

Built in 1989,Margo has four berths, a two burner stove and grill, a two bottle gas locker, a chart table, plenty of stowage including a wet locker, a folding table which stows away and a portaloo toilet. There is a Yamaha MD2 inboard diesel engine.

She has a roller reefing jib, staysail and main along with an easily handled spinnaker which reduces working on deck in heavy weather to a minimum. With the exception of the spinnaker, all sails can be raised, lowered and set without leaving the cockpit. She has a robust bowroller and has sat out some very heavy weather at anchor. She is a proven sea boat. Besides making regular passages direct from Blyth to Germany, Holland and a circuit of Denmark through the Limfjord, she has twice sailed around Britain via the Caledonian Canal. From Blyth she made a three year Atlantic circuit sailing as far west as Curacao in the Gulf of Mexico, before heading north to Cuba and then moving on to the Turks and Caicos Islands, Nassau and Fort Lauderdale. From there she followed America’s East Coast Inland Waterway as far north as Charleston and sailed direct to the Azores before returning to her home port. Liferaft available at extra cost.
