| Reference: | Crabby Jacks |
Here we have a mid 70s Seamaster in need of some TLC as the woodwork has suffered some dampness issues over the years.
Crabby Jacks has been in the same ownership for around 15 years but over the last few years the family has grown up and the owners have not been able to spend the time on her that she deserves. I would say she is a usable project.
She is fitted with the 1600cc Wortham Blake petrol engine which gives quiet cruising on the Thames and doesn't use a lot of fuel.
She is a little unusual as she is fitted with an original Seamaster helm shelter, a nice touch and allows for good solid handrails as you enter & exit the cockpit.
She is berthed on an island in Teddington which offers very good value moorings, it may be possible to transfer this leisure mooring to the new owners subject to acceptance by the Island mooring administer.
This boat is lying on a private berth on a private mooring, viewings are by appointment only. Please call or email to arrange a viewing.

4 Berths in 2 cabin areas. A clever layout with Dinette and Galley towards the aft end of the cabin and the V berths in the bows separated by the WC which reaches across the cabin acting as the divider and also a fairly large WC for a 26ft boat. The cockpit has helm seat, mates seat and a rear bench seat which can take around 4 people. Easy access to the side decks from the cockpit, storage under the rear seat. Engine access under the cockpit floor.
There is hot & cold water to the galley and WC sinks heated by the engine.
All GRP construction for strength and ease of maintenance. The hull & superstructure and predominately original gelcoat with a painted blue line on the hull and painted decks.
Hot & cold water, Canopy, Stereo Radio, Bathing platform, Bilge pump. Gas cooker, Portable toilet.
Single Wortham Blake 1600cc Petrol engine, based on the very sturdy Ford Industrial range of engines & should provide quiet and economical cruising. Serviced several years ago and also stern tube rubber replaced several years ago. Not much use since. The engine has an alternator to keep the 2 batteries charged and also heats the hot water through the calorifier.
12V electrics on board. The current owner uses an extension lead if he requires 230V onboard.
Thames Brokerage Ltd are acting only as brokers and no warranty is implied or given. Any prospective purchaser must satisfy themselves as to the condition of the vessel & suitability for their use along with ensuring they are happy with the legal title of the vessel. We would advise employing a qualified marine surveyor to ascertain the condition of the vessel and a marine engineer to confirm the condition of the mechanical aspects of the craft. In most cases a demonstration run will be possible but only once a price has been agreed with the owner and a deposit placed on the craft.
